Skylar and Dalton Beach Proposal

When my sister Skylar’s boyfriend was planning to propose, he asked Patrick and me for help. Dalton wanted the occasion to be a unique, romantic surprise, highlighting all the wonderful memories they have made together so far.

Since they met and took their first walk together on Pismo Beach, that was the only choice for the proposal. In addition to us here at SLO Town Studios, we solicited the help of our good friends Kramer Events and Project XO to help set the scene, and every detail was perfect!

I tricked Skylar into getting her hair and makeup done at Bellizzimo Beauty, by telling her I needed help with a photoshoot (and in a way, I did!). We gathered some family and close friends, and when we got to the location, everything was ready.

Custom signs, flowers, framed photographs, even a handwritten love letter lead Skylar down a path of rose petals to where Dalton was waiting under a “Marry Me” arch with a ring. The weather was perfect, Skylar was surprised, and the families got to be a part of it. Oh, and she said “Yes!” A sunset proposal on the beach, what could be more romantic?
